Aerospace Coatings
Overview
:
C & S Processing are specialists in aerospace coatings
and carry out work for most of the major aerospace and
electronics companies in the UK. Coatings include stoving
finishes for avionics equipment, two pack solar heat reflecting
&polyurethane finishes.
Standards
:
We provide a range of standard specification coatings to
- BSX 33
- BSX 34A
- BSX 34B
- DEF STAN 80 - 161
- DTD 5618
We also undertake work to a range of other specifications and should you have a particular requirement not detailed above then we will source the paint for your requirements.
BSX
33
:
Primer recommended for use as part of a long term corrosion
resistance scheme with BSX 34A, DEFSTAN 80 - 161.
BSX
34A
:
Recommended finish for aircraft, avionics and other environments where rigorous performance requirements must be satisfied. Offers resistance to weathering of the highest order even when the matt finish is used, as well as resistance to fuels, lubricants, pyrolysed lubricants, hydraulic fluids and salt water.
DEF
STAN 80 - 161
:
Suited for light alloys in the aviation industry, a two pack epoxy paint scheme which produces a tough, abrasion-resistant surface, capable of withstanding contact with saline conditions and a range of mineral synthetic ester lubricants.
DTD
5618
:
Offers reflection of solar heat radiation in order to reduce
surface temperatures of electronic equipment thus
minimising the chance of malfunction. Also offers outstanding
resistance to chemical attack and a high level
of corrosion protection for light alloys used
in aircraft construction.
MIL-PRF-23377
Type 1 Class C2
: Low VOC epoxy primer with excellent
corrosion resistance with good flexibility and chemical
resistance. Used in
conjunction with MIL-PRF-85285 Type 1 Class H or can
be used alone on internal unexposed areas.
MIL-PRF-85285
Type 1 Class H
: Two pack polyurethane, for use on Military
aircraft, designed for maximum protection from various
chemicals,
hydraulic fluids, aviation fuels, and corrosion causing
media.
Airbus AIMS 04-04-012
: Three pack durable polyurethane finish
for interior and exterior environments. Highly resistant
to ultra-violet
radiation, weathering and aircraft hydraulic fluids.
Mask-Mat 240
We offer surface coating with Mask-Mat 240 for aerospace testing environments. The coating is used for panel protection and can go through various environmental tests (e.g. +60c to -40c numerous times to simulate aircraft temperatures).
